SUPPORT AVAILABLE
  FROM THE CVS

The CVS supports voluntary and community not-for-profit organisations in a wide variety of ways, from starting up a group, assisting with operational matters, and if necessary, helping one to cease operating. Support comes in the form of helping them write a constitution and select Office Bearers and other Management Committee members; assisting in the search for funding and in completing Funding Applications; consultation on major issues affecting the sector and representing their interests at meetings with Government agencies, statutory bodies and commercial businesses, and training them in issues affecting their work. VONEF carries out all of those tasks and more, including providing new information to organisations about developments such as funding opportunities, courses available elsewhere or events being held by other organisations within the sector this usually takes the form of our monthly snippets e-newsletter.

FROM THE VOLUNTEER CENTRE

Volunteer Centre Fife also provides a free service. On registration, the organisation’s information and volunteering opportunities would be entered on the Scottish database of Volunteer Centres; www.volunteerscotland.org.uk.
The Volunteer Centre matches registered organisations with people interested in volunteering, taking into account the organisation’s needs and the volunteer’s experience, skills, interests and available time. Without volunteers, the ‘third sector’ could not survive: volunteers are its lifeblood. The Volunteer Centre offers ‘Key Skills training for Volunteer Managers’, volunteers and guidance in good practice, whilst also organising volunteer recruitment events and networking groups.

Volunteer Centre Fife exists to:
