Accommodation - The Murray Library Trust is interested in discussing accommodation
needs with any charitable organisation or community groups that may wish to
set up in, or re-locate to Anstruther.
The Murray Library Building is located in Shore Street Anstruther and is well
positioned for access by public transport. The Building is held in Trust for
Community benefit and offers flexible accommodation.
It is the intention of the Trustees to refurbish the building and so it would
be advantageous to any prospective user of the building to discuss needs and
expectations with the trustees who may be contacted by writing care of Jim
Braid at 7 Farm Court, Anstruther, Fife, KY10 3HY.
Plans of the building and further information available from Sue mailto:Sue.Jack@vonef.org.uk

FREE INFORMATION HELPLINE
Last week SCVO launched a free information helpline for Scotland’s voluntary
sector.
By calling 0800 169 00 22 voluntary organisations can access up to date information
on the issues that matter to them – from charity law to constitutions,
from management committees to managing people. The new helpline has been developed
involving local Councils for Voluntary Service and specialist national infrastructure
organisations to ensure the specific needs of the voluntary sector are met.
REVIEW OF SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR
If you work in the voluntary sector, this is a great chance to let the Scottish
Executive, and the Strategic Funding Review partners, know about what support
you do or do not receive, and what services you think are needed in the future.
We are looking for voluntary organisation to tell us what support they are
able to access and what gaps exist by:
Completing an electronic survey, and/or
Attending a focus group - organised in various venues across Scotland.
If you'd like to take part please go to the website and register to become
involved.

Investing
in ideas’
The Big Lottery Fund has developed ‘Investing in Ideas’ – a
funding stream which provides monies to test and develop new ideas which could
become fully-fledged projects. Grants of between £500 and £5,000
are currently available, although it is anticipated that the maximum limit may
rise to £10,000 in the coming months.
Investing in ideas can pay for:
• market research
• feasibility studies
• business planning
• training for your committee
• exchange visits in the UK to see how other projects work
• community consultation
• professional advice
• technical reports and scheme design studies
