The Fife Young People’s Panel is open to young people aged 10 -15 that live in Fife, who want to give their views and opinions on things. It has been set up by the Fife Partnership.

The Fife Partnership is looking for young people aged 10 – 15 to register onto the Panel. The young people will be sent a questionnaire to fill in about 4 times a year. It can also be filled in on the Internet. The questionnaires will include things like – what do young people think about schools, hospitals or the areas they live in.

The young people might also be asked if they wanted to get together with other people from the Panel to talk about things. This would happen once or twice a year.

Young people can join the Panel by filling in an online application at: www.fifedirect.org.uk/peoplespanel or by contacting the People’s Panel Co-ordinator for an application form:

Big Lottery Fund: Deadline Update
The Big Lottery Fund in Scotland has set a deadline date of 1 August 2008 for Outline Proposals for the following programmes:

Supporting 21st Century Life
Life Transitions
Growing Community Assets

These programmes offer funding between £10,000 and £1m to projects which can demonstrate that they meet Big Lottery Fund outcomes. There is strong competition for all of the programmes, particularly Life Transitions, so additional guidance has been produced for all potential applicants. There has been a lack of applications from the East and North East of Scotland for the Growing Community Assets programme, so BIG is keen to encourage projects from these areas to come forward. For further details and guidance on all of these programmes, please see the Big Lottery Fund's website:
